      Oh no, I’m so sorry your cake didn’t echo the one in the video. Did you happen to use whole eggs? Egg whites do tend to make cakes a little lighter but the yolks don’t make them heavy. Or is your baking powder nice and fresh? Once opened, it should be used within 6 months, or it starts to lose potency. I hope these possibilities help and that your cake is still delicious.

    You... added more flour to a dough that you hadn't even mixed all the flour into? Really? You can see unmixed flour in the bowl at 1:30 and yet you added even more. People - always hydrate ALL OF THE FLOUR. Also, the number of people who basically say "do as I say, not as I do" when this is supposed to be a "recipe/guide" is too damn high. You can't say "1/4 of a teaspoon of vanilla" while literally dumping vanilla straight from the container.

    My opinion. Bring it close to boil, but don't boil it. Also, you need to have some form of fat. Add a nice teaspoon of coconut oil in the mix. If you can buy fresh tumeric and ginger better than powder.

    Best, easiest recipe ever!!! I just made this bead today. It is fantastic! So good just like it is without putting anything on it. Although I will try making a grilled cheese with it.💖 I used sharp cheddar cheese to add more flavor. I also grated the cheese myself which is so much better than the pre shredded kind. I did add 1/4 cup extra cheese, so in total I used 1 and 1/2 cups of cheese (6 ounces total). I didn't have whole milk, only had 2% milk, so I used 1 cup 2% and a half cup of half and half. I used the powdered parmesan cheese from the green shaker container.😊 The bread turned out absolutely perfect and so easy to make. I have many quick cheese bread recipes that I have tried that use sour cream or buttermilk, and eggs. The bread bread from those recipes taste more like a biscuit, but your recipe really does taste and look more like bread. So very good. Your recipe is a keeper for sure and will be the only one I will be making, Oh and like you said, it's really is important to let the bread fully cool before cutting.....although it is really hard to wait.🤣🤣 Does this bread have to be stored in the fridge because of the cheese, or can you leave it out on the kitchen counter?

    • @ICookAndPaint
      @ICookAndPaint 10 днів тому

      Wow, I’m so happy you enjoyed this recipe! I never buy the pre grated cheese, and hats off for using green shaker Parmesan! I do refrigerate this bread because of the cheese, but I really don’t know if it’s absolutely necessary because grocery store cheese bread stays out at the store. I just want to play it safe :)
